Congrats...You have found Wilson Creek Elementary School's first walking program! We are an elementary school in Johns Creek, Georgia. If you would like to join us, that would be awesome! Our program consists of students, staff, family, and friends (that's you) setting a goal of how many miles they want to walk over the length of the program, which runs from Oct. 13-Jan. 24 (our goal is 26.2 miles). I've got a theme song for my marathon....Third Day 'I believe'...if you get a chance listen to it and let me know what you think...it's saying a lot to me now...
Next week is the marathon...kinda nervous...26.2 miles is a long way, and I can't remember doing anything for 5 hours before...but in some ways, it feels cool to test myself...that is truly how we figure our place in the circle...on a personal note I saw 'Independence Day' over the break...I thought of the goals of this program and breaking free from bad behaviors...so, in keeping with the movie, "Today, I declare February 15th as my Independence Day." :0) ...-david
